Maker Montage

To create a “ship” using a single piece of tinfoil that will hold the most of a given object.

The key underlying factor to these maker projects is the ability of the project to be iterated. Test the boat, try again so it can hold more. Do I like the design, try again. Does it work? Will it last? Can I make this better? This line of thinking just helps me to stay on track with a maker project and not just creating a craft. I like the idea of using a purpose or problem as the foundation for the maker challenge. So really following the design process steps in thinking of a problem this will solve.

What really stuck out during this process was just having fun with it. I wasn’t really invested in making a boat that would hold the most marbles, but I was still engaged throughout the challenge because it was creative and there was freedom to make it be how I wanted. There were multiple approaches to this challenge and how to create a boat and still be on track and successful.
