Maker Montage

The idea of constraints and what to consider as a constraint like: time, group/individual, what the goal is, materials etc. And how these can interact with each other to really adapt the challenge. Another big idea that really stuck with me after this activity was how each of our creations were entirely different – the idea that with a maker challenge it’s really about giving the challenge and seeing where the creativity leads the students.

The open-ness of this challenge, and most of the challenges we tried, makes them also very adaptable for students. All students can participate in some way because it’s really about what the students can do.

“I used to be so creative”

I was very anxious at the start of this task but now I see it as one of my favourite ways to give maker challenges. It’s exciting and fun and I would stress that it’s low-pressure.
